Appeal for routine use of antibiotics in farms to be cut significantly which is also achieved through kinder farming methods which improve the health and welfare of farm animals.

Wildlife Warrior

Appeal to become a Wildlife Warrior and help champion wildlife-friendly farming that works in harmony with nature.  Members of the Soil Association were given leaflets and seeds.

Not in our bread

Soil Association campaign calling for a UK ban on glyphosate – the most widely used weedkiller in the world.

The brief was to  convey the message that the public are regularly ingesting this pesticide when buying bread. They wanted an illustration that would launch the campaign and the style to be bold, clear and have a sense of danger. It is designed to make the viewer think about what they are eating and their buying choices.

The illustration shows a clear link between the spraying of the crop in a field and this weedkiller going directly into our bread conveying the ominous message.

Several ideas were tested before choosing the final concept.

Neonics

Campaign to ban Neonicotinoids (or ‘neonics’) which are systemic pesticides: Unlike contact pesticides, which remain on the surface, neonics are absorbed into the plant. Plants are sprayed or seeds are coated in these pesticides, which then are taken up by every part of the plant as it grows.
